Sober Curious | Ruby Warrington

First off before we jump into this conversation I want to share that recording this episode was really valuable for me as an individual. For years now, I have been sober curious without a title for how to describe it. Thank goodness for my guest today coming up with something as cool as “sober curious,” and as accurate for what I know to be a profound inner journey.

We have long lived in a culture where drinking alcohol is a very black and white conversation.  Some people do and others don’t. For those that don’t, it has often been viewed that there must be a significant issue with it, causing one to abstain altogether.  What I love so much is a brand new conversation that has risen to the surface spawn from an inner question on the role of alcohol in our lives.

My guest today has started not only a valid and important conversation but a loving one that invites us to look under the surface into our own lives; and ask ourselves the questions, “ Why we do what we do?”  “What is driving our choices?” and “what does wellness look like for us?”

Any journey we take into self will ultimately lead us to some big and critically important questions. I am so excited to share this particular conversation with you. I even share a bit about my own choices regarding alcohol and what I discovered along my own path of asking the bigger questions.

In this podcast episode:

—The role that alcohol takes in our lives
—Getting curious about what drives the desire to drink
—Defining what wellness is for you
—My own journey into Sober Curious
—Why it is important to be curious about our lives and choices
