It’s probably been about three to four years since I first started seeing angel numbers — or three-digit number sequences.

Whenever I would notice these numbers, I would take a photo of them and post that photo on Instagram. Looking through my phone, I now have hundreds of pictures of angel numbers.

The funny thing is that I didn’t think much of these numbers at first. But then after noticing them more and more, I started tuning into their meanings. When you see certain numbers over and over again, you can’t help but think, There must be meaning in this.

And that’s how it all began.

 

What are Angel Numbers?

 

There are all kinds of energetic codes on this earth, and numbers carry their own energies.

Angel numbers specifically are messages directly from angels who were sent to help guide us. But it is up to you to determine what messages or codes mean.

These numbers are usually seen in repeating patterns such as 111 or 222. But it’s important to know that you can receive multiple repeating number patterns in a short period of time.

Oftentimes (especially during a spiritual awakening), people will see these patterns all the time.

But those who are receiving a very poignant message might only see the repetition of one number. Both of these situations mean the angels are trying to send you helpful information.

Imagine that you can look into a code and receive all kinds of information. It’s not just one word or one sentence. It’s like gaining access to a whole new portal or cubby of information.

So the numbers (if you’re seeing them or even if you’ve never seen them) are just frequencies of information. It’s just like turning the dial on an old radio station to a new frequency; you hear a different song, different types of music or different programming.

We can attune ourselves to different frequencies to receive new kinds of information.

 

What do angel numbers mean?

 

Angel numbers, spirit codes and divine codes are all number sequences that mean someone is trying to communicate with you.

Spirit codes are double numbers (such as 11, 22 or 33) and are connected to your spirit. Angel codes are triple numbers (such as 111, 222 and 333) and are sent by your angels. Divine codes are quadruple numbers (such as 1111, 2222 or 3333) and are sent by the Universe.

Angel numbers and their meanings can vary from person to person, which is why it can be a bit challenging to decipher messages. Yet, numerology (the divine science of numbers and their meanings) gives us some clues to what our angels might be trying to tell us.

As I mentioned above, numbers carry specific energetic vibrational qualities. This vibrational frequency is similar in nature to the frequencies angels and other celestial beings resonate.

These numbers typically work through meaningful coincidences or synchronicities.

For example, let’s say you wake up at 3:33 AM for no reason; then when you get your coffee, you get $3.33 back in change; then on your way home, you see a license plate with 333 on it.

These all might seem meaningless but when you put them together, you find a pattern that can’t be ignored.

In this case, the number three is telling you to recognize your soul purpose and lean into it.

How do you find them?

 

As I’ve been sharing the angel numbers in my Instagram Stories over the years, I’ve found that the more you interact with these numbers, the more you attune yourself to their frequency.

Start by noticing numbers (any numbers, even random numbers will do) in general. This will help you get into the practice of noticing.

Our angels are sending us numbers all the time! We often miss these numbers when we’re out of the habit of paying attention. By noticing any and all numbers we see, we open ourselves up to the possibility of seeing these messages.

 

Drop your expectations

If you’ve never seen angel numbers and are curious about them, try not to hold onto any expectations or preconceived notions of how these numbers might appear.

These numbers may not appear how you’ve imagined them to reveal themselves! When we’re searching for something, we often miss what’s right in front of us.

By dropping your expectations, you allow the messages to arrive in the ways they were meant to.

 

Keep your eyes peeled

To start interacting with angel numbers, just keep your eye out for them — no pressure! Drop worry or expectations and just start noticing.

Over time, as you align yourself to these frequencies, you will begin to receive more and more messages, just by opening yourself up to receiving them.

 

Change your frequency

Have you ever heard the old saying that you become whatever you’re exposed to?
It’s the same with angel numbers and their frequencies.

This is why we want to be really mindful of the energy that’s in our environment and what we’re exposing ourselves to. When you’re transforming your life, you need to surround yourself with more of ‘the stuff’ (frequencies, energies, etc.) you want to become.

When you want to open up to a spiritual gift, when you want to activate your intuition and really be able to hear your soul, consciously surround yourself with high-frequency people, energies and environments.

Find out where that frequency of information naturally occurs and go there.

 

A few other ways to tune in to angel messages

 

You can also listen to frequencies and tones that help attune you to higher vibrational information — even if the music is just playing in the background, it’s going to start connecting you to new information.

Being out in nature and allowing yourself to take in the earth’s frequency is another great way to clear out any energy blocks and really align yourself with a higher vibration.
