Give Me More Guacamole, Please!
If you have a dish that calls for guacamole, or the inclusion of guacamole, as a delicious garnish, the best way to create an authentic taste is by making our perfectly healthy homemade guacamole, Give Me More Guacamole, Please!
All you need is three perfectly ripe avocados to make this dish. It is important that the avocado is ripe in order to get the correct creamy consistency.
To check for ripeness, simply hold the avocado in the palm of your hand and give it a gentle squeeze. If it appears firm, keep it out to ripen over a few days. If you think your avocado is ripe but you’re not quite ready to make your guacamole, simply slow the ripening by storing it in the refrigerator.
Avocado is a great ingredient! For vegans it is a great choice in terms of its nutritional profile. This little fruit contains up to 20 important vitamins and minerals. In addition, the avocado is the only fruit that contains monounsaturated fats, which lowers your risk of heart disease.
To make our Give Me More Guacamole, Please! place all the ingredients into a large bowl and mash and fold it together. If you like it on the chunky side, feel free to mash it roughly. Those who enjoy smoother guacamole can mash it vigorously to reach their desired smooth consistency.
This guacamole can be stored in a covered container for a few days, making it a convenient choice to top any healthy lunch. With diced red onion, diced cilantro, lime, cumin, and sea salt creating a flavor explosion, you’ll sure be saying Give Me More Guacamole, Please! in no time at all.
